Formal Fashions was started in the back room of a “Mom & Pop” tuxedo rental store here in Arizona. Several high school music groups had purchased tuxedo attire for their choirs and orchestras, so it wasn’t a huge leap to figure that other schools across the U.S. could also use these products.

So, in 1978, we did our first catalog mailer to high schools nationally and the response from the music teachers was, “That’s great for the guys, but what about the ladies?” 30 Years later, we have greatly expanded our range of styles and have also created an abundance of styles for children.

Since then, our motto has been: You ask, we listen, and then provide the items you request. It’s that E-Z!
